The Lamayuru Chilling trek is one of the moderate treks in the Ladakh region that passes through the remote and beautiful Ripchar valley and inhabited by nomadic settlements in the midst of variety of wild and colourful alpine flowers

The Lamayuru Chilling trek further traverses and ascends to some high altitude mountain passes wherefrom you can capture the excellent view of the Karakoram and the Zanskar ranges. The initial part of the trek till Chilling is less traveled. From Chilling you cross the Zanskar river by a pulley cable and continue your journey towards the Markha valley, which is very popular and considered to be one of the best valleys in Ladakh.
The Lamayuru Chilling trek commences from Lamayuru, which hosts the popular Lamayuru monastery at 3,510 meters, one of the oldest monasteries in the Ladakh region built in the 10th century. It reflects the ancient colours of the Indo – Tibetans from its rich collection of ancient manuscripts, paintings and chortens. From Lamayuru the trail heads to Wanla via Prinkiti La at 3,650 meters and then turns to ascend towards Hinju village that is set at a height of 3,720 meters. The Lamayuru Chilling Trek continues to ascend towards Konze La at 4,950 meters, wherefrom the journey turns to Dun Dung La base. After crossing Dung Dung La the trek continues a steep trek downhill before finally concluding at Chilling.

Day 1:Arrive Leh And Transfer To The Hotel.

Arrive in Delhi by International flight met our representative and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Sightseeing Of Indus Valley.

Early morning transfer to Domestic Airport to connect the flight for Leh. Upon arrival at Leh Airport our representative would assist you at the Airport and transfer to Hotel. Check into the hotel. Full day relax at the hotel for the acclimatisation.

Day 3: Drive To Lamayuru From Leh.

We leave Leh in the morning for Lamayuru. Along the way, we come across some of the oldest and most famous monasteries in Ladakh, founded around 11th centuryby Lotsawa Rinchen Sangpo Lamayuru, Likir and Alchi offer truly memorable visits on account of their age and history. After reaching Lamayuru (3420m) we will spend the day exploring the ancient monastery and to prepare for the next day.

Day 4:Lamayuru-Wanlah: Walking Time 3-5 Hrs.

Lamyuru at 3420 is situated at Leh-Kargil route. Gradual ascent to Prinkiti La 3750m. A less maintained but very old monastery is there which requires a entry fee.

Day 5 : Wanla - Base Of Tar La Tour (4200 Mts/13776 Ft) 8 Hrs

Wanlah at 3250m and it requires gradaual ascent to Phanjila 3410m. HInju village is named after Hinju valley and is situated at 3720m.

Day 6:Rest Day

( High Pass )

Day 7: Hinju-Konze La: Walking Time 6-7 Hrs.

First gradual and then steeper for 200m to cross Konze La 4950m. Descening is bit steep though loose moraine.

Day 8: Sumdo Chinmu-Base Of Dung Dung La: Walking Time 3-4 Hrs.

Sumdo Chinmu at 4300m has a samll monstery which not many people have known. Trail winds to valley floor 4250m and then steep ascending for high ridge 4430m.

Day 9: Dung Dung La-Chilling: Walking Time 6 Hrs.

It is not tough to negotiate 4820m of Dung Dung La and then gradual descending to Chilling 3350m . From La one can see large Himalayan Range of Zhanskar with many towering peaks.

Day 10AND 11: Dung Dung La-Chilling: Walking Time 6 Hrs.
